About Me...

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, Amanda Pollock. With years of experience finding the right holiday for my customers, I run my own business through Travel Designs Comber and would be delighted to assist you with any forthcoming holiday arrangements.

I have a passion for travel and personal service, which together with an extensive knowledge of the travel industry means I know where to look and what to recommend for your perfect holiday. 

"What kickstarted or influenced your career in Travel?"

My love of travel has influenced my career; there’s nothing that excites me more than looking forward to a trip away. I have been in the travel industry for 37 years. I started off in Co-operative Travel Comber and worked there for nearly 35 years until the owner sadly passed away in 2018. I then decided to start my own business as Travel Designs Comber and I became a personal travel advisor. I love the flexibility it gives me.

"Where in the world have you travelled to?"

I have travelled extensively to so many amazing places and have enjoyed many holidays in all areas of Europe, Mexico, Dubai, Thailand, China, India and Africa. My love of cruises has taken me to most of the Caribbean islands and this has prompted me to return to visit many of the islands as holiday destinations. I have had many great road trips around America and with over 25 visits I have extensive knowledge of Florida and of course all the Orlando attractions.

"What is your most memorable destination?"

I just love America and especially Florida as we are a Disney mad family. America in general offers something for everyone. Aside from America, some of my most memorable destinations have been while cruising. I love the excitement of waking up in a new place to discover every day. My latest adventure was on a river cruise and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

"What Holidays do you specialize in?"

I have extensive knowledge of many holidays but my area of expertise would be to most long haul destinations, America, the Caribbean and cruising. You can see my recommendations on where to go located on the homepage if you are stuck for ideas!
